Precut, bagged salad, salad dressing, salad topping industry has been growing fast over the last years. Pre-washed, bagged salads have grown at an even higher pace than the total salad industry.

A continued interest in health will spur the industry but the key will continue to be product innovation and technology. Wider varieties of salads, more imaginative toppings, and more convenient packaging will drive growth more than health and nutritional issues and concerns.
